Six assistance levels — from full physical to independent
Every goal data point in Tendara is recorded with a specific assistance level. This gives ISP teams a clear, objective measure of progress — not vague notes like "did well today" or "needs more practice."
Full Physical Assistance
The caregiver completes the task for or with the individual using hand-over-hand guidance throughout. The individual requires complete physical support.
Partial Physical Assistance
The caregiver provides physical guidance for parts of the task. The individual completes some steps independently but needs hands-on help for others.
Modeling
The caregiver demonstrates the task step by step. The individual watches and then performs the task themselves. No physical contact, but direct visual guidance.
Verbal Prompting
The caregiver provides spoken reminders or instructions. The individual performs the task physically but needs verbal cues to initiate, continue, or complete steps.
Gestural Prompting
The caregiver uses gestures, pointing, or facial expressions to cue the individual. Minimal intervention — the individual needs only a subtle reminder to stay on track.
Independent
The individual completes the task without any assistance. The caregiver observes and documents the independent performance. This is the target for most ISP goals.
Baseline tracking that sets goals up for success

Progress charts that tell the story
